Is the Book Always Better Than the Movie?

Tomorrow we are going to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid at our very favorite movie theater: the historic State Theater in Traverse City.  Can you imagine a theater that shows Saturday matinées for 25 cents, has concession prices that are reasonable and a staff made up of smiling volunteers? The State is a gem and we are lucky to call it our theater!

We know nothing about Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the book, but watched the trailer for the movie (looks funny) and since the forecast is 59 degrees and rainy --we decided that it's a perfect Saturday morning for the movies.
