Snow, yes, blizzard no.

My reading choice for a real blizzard is a great series...the Ralph Moody Little Britches series. Also great for car rides...Mr. Moody just keeps flowing his stories from one to the other. During our so called blizzard I finished The Fields of Home book in the series. And I read GODRIC by Frederick Buechner. It's an amazing work of fiction about a real life 12th? century monk. I don't even know how to describe it. But it was a very good way to spend some time.

I thought, however, that if I were preparing for a blizzard that would not leave me without power, I would spend a chunk of time in a marathon watch of "The West Wing".jolynbarretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16907132982054829902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5154649481632827304.post-57913841393655470102010-12-13T08:29:11.596-05:002010-12-13T08:29:11.596-05:00A long day of naps, an eggy/toasty breakfast, canc...A long day of naps, an eggy/toasty breakfast, cancellations-aplenty, a late afternoon shovel (drift-attack) of the general house perimeter & run to the grocery store for supplies (lucky us, we're very close!); + two movies (The Milagro Beanfield War & Gigantic--both quite beautiful). The only reading I did was online & a quick perusal of this week's Northern Express. Unfortunately, we did not take the blizzard warning as seriously as we should have! A do-over would have had me at the library & movie store on Friday as well as the grocery store too!! I have The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake on my list too & oh, so many others!! :) Happy Winter lovelies!jenn ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10459804215282659291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5154649481632827304.post-28967947002995542002010-12-12T19:13:30.474-05:002010-12-12T19:13:30.474-05:00I have spent the day alternating netflix movies an...I have spent the day alternating netflix movies and reading.
